Suffolk County Police Homicide Squad detectives are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of an unidentified person whose remains were found in Oak Beach Saturday.
Long Island’s Unidentified Murder Victims
Police say Canine Section Officer John Mallia and his dog Blue were searching along Ocean Parkway when they found skeletal remains between Cedar Beach and Gilgo Beach at approximately 2:45 p.m.

The remains could not be identified and the investigation is continuing.
