Freeport Bank Robbed; Police Investigating

A Citibank branch in Freeport was robbed Friday at approximately 3:00 p.m., according to Nassau County Police.

The suspect, a man, handed a note to a teller, demanding money. The teller gave money to the man, who then fled from the bank, westbound on Merrick Road, Police said.

Police have described the man as being 20-30 years old, Hispanic, 6 feet or taller and having a slim build.


Detectives are requesting anyone with information regarding this crime to contact the Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS. All calls are confidential, and the caller will remain anonymous.
