Another Purse Snatching, This Time in Hicksville

A woman walking in Hicksville on Saturday evening had her pocketbook forcibly stolen from her by two men, according to police.

The woman was walking at 8:09 p.m. on Sackett Street when police say she was approached by two men who stole her pocketbook, then fled on foot.

No injuries were reported. Both men are described as black and approximately 6’0” and 5’6” in height.  No further description is available at this time.


Police say the incident matches a pattern of robberies in the area by the described subjects.  Detectives are asking anyone with information regarding this crime to contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS.  All callers will remain anonymous.
