First, thanks for the feedback.

As I mentioned several times in the piece, I’m a fan of Rex, but I’m just being honest here.

The guy didn’t even understand his team’s playoff-elimination scenario last year, then qualified by means of a rather unlikely scenario coming to fruition. From there, he beat the so-so Bengals and miserably coached Chargers, and the Jets benefited in both of those games from a handful of missed field goals.

Again, I like Rex, but this criticism is hardly sensationalistic. His in-game management is quite shaky.

A referendum??? You gotta be kiddin’ me. What was a trip to the AFC Title game then? He’s a first year head coach. Bilichick was a first year head coach in Clevland, now he’s a future Hall of Famer. Everyone has to “grow” into their job. From the Owner on down. You make mistakes, you learn and you hopefully grow. A referendum? Sensational journalism.
