A community activist and 52-year-old Brentwood resident, Elsayed has most recently been employed as a cultural advisor for the U.S. government in Iraq, having worked alongside servicemen and women. In addition to concerns about crime in the community, he supports term limits. He previously ran for Islip town clerk and Brentwood school board.
