Fitzpatrick, who previously served 15 years as Smithtown town councilman, is running for his 5th Assembly term. A fiscal conservative with a financial sector background, the 53-year-old is reportedly the most conservative Assemblyman. He sits on the housing, local governments, small business and higher education committees.
