Fields, 64, is in the fight of her career. The three-term incumbent lost the Democratic line in the primaries last month to a political newcomer. She is a member of the aging, consumer affairs, corporations, authorities, oversight, analysis, real property taxation and tourism committees. Fields is a former Suffolk legislator and healthcare administrator.
