Christopher Dempsey (D)

Dempsey is a 55-year-old political newcomer. The lifelong Greenlawn is a volunteer firefighter and a longtime worker for the Suffolk Off-Track Betting Corporation.  His campaign has been mostly below the radar but in the interviews that he has done, he addresses problems of inefficiency and partisan bickering in state government.
