A recently retired Town of Brookhaven employee is denying allegations that he stole scrap metal from the town that he scrapped for more than $1,000. 
Louis “Buddy” Pulsonetti, a former highway department foreman, pleaded not guilty at First District Court on Wednesday to charges of grand larceny and official misconduct.
Suffolk County prosecutors said the 53-year-old Shirley man stole scrap metal from the Town Highway Yard in Mastic Beach between January 2007 and August 2010.

He was released without bail.
