No automaker is immune to recalls, and the gang at BMW are now realizing that.

BMW announced today a recall of nearly 200,000 cars with a V-8 or V-12 engine. The reason for the recall stems from a potential leak in the cars’ power braking system.
The BMW models affected are:
- 2002-08 BMW 745i/Li, 750i/Li, and 760i/Li
- 2004-10 BMW 545i and 550i
- 2004-10 BMW 645i and 650i
- 2007-08 BMW Alpina B7
BMW says the issue will result in diminished braking power, but drivers will still be able to slow the car to a stop.
“But I own a Rolls-Royce! Surely my braking system, forged from diamonds and moon rocks, works just fine!” Bad news, friend: All Rollies built between 2003 and 2010 are up for fixing, too.
