A Freeport man was killed in a motorcycle crash in Merrick early Sunday morning.
Nassau County police said Michael Galloway Sr. was riding a Yamaha motorcycle westbound on Sunrise Highway at the entrance of the Meadowbrook State Parkway when he lost control and struck a sign at 12:35 a.m.
Galloway was taken to Nassau University Medical Center where he was pronounced dead an hour and a half later.

The motorcycle was impounded for safety tests.
