Man Shot in Head Outside Stone Hedge Pub in West Babylon, in Critical Condition

A man is  in critical condition after he was was shot in the head outside of a strip club in his hometown of West Babylon early Saturday morning, Suffolk County police said.

Michael Anderson, 30, was walking with a friend to Stone Hedge Pub on Sunrise Highway after having left the bar to a gas station to buy cigars when someone inside a parked vehicle called out Anderson’s nickname at 2:20 a.m.

Anderson approached the vehicle while his friend entered the bar. The friend then heard a gunshot and, when we came outside, found Anderson lying on the road.

Anderson was taken to Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center in West Islip. He is listed in critical condition.

First Squad detectives ask anyone with information regarding this incident to call them at 631-854-8152 or anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS. All calls will remain confidential.
