With Hurricane Earl all but forgotten about, Connecticut’s annual Woodstock Fair is celebrating its 150th anniversary.
The yearly festival, which features live music, contests, vendors, go kart racing, exhibits and more, is no stranger to encounters with Mother Nature. This year’s Woodstock Fair would actually be the 151st if it hadn’t been canceled in 1955 after a pair of hurricanes left massive flooding in the Woodstock, Conn. area.
Musical acts set to play the Woodstock Fair include Barry and Holly Tashian (of the original American Bandstand), The Remains, Blue Oyster Cult, Restless Heart, Little Texas and Dennis DeYoung (playing the music of STYX).
There will also be a paradeĀ Sunday night to commemorate the 150th Woodstock Fair.
The Fair wraps up with a fireworks display Monday night.
