2 Teens Arrested For Sayville Home Invasion

by Long Island Press on September 4, 2010

(From L.) Key Martinez, Bryan Urena

Two North Bellmore teenagers have been arrested for an armed Sayville home invasion in which they robbed a group of people playing poker early Saturday morning , Suffolk County police said.

Seven people were playing poker inside a Greenbrier Lane home when one of the suspects knocked on the side door at 2:15 a.m. and homeowner refused to let him in, police said. The man and his alleged accomplice forced their way through the door, threatened the card players with what appeared to be a knife and gun, then demanded their cash, keys and cell phones, police said.

After the homeowner called 911, officers apprehended Key Martinez, 17, and Bryan Urena, 18.

Fifth squad detectives charged both with burglary and robbery. They will be arraigned Sunday at First District Court in Central Islip.
