A man stole money from the Chase Bank in Freeport early this morning.
At 9:07 a.m. this morning, a male subject entered the Chase Bank branch located at 180 Atlantic Ave. in Freeport. He handed the teller a note demanding money and the teller complied. The subject then fled southbound on foot, across Atlantic Avenue towards Ocean Avenue, according to Nassau County Robbery Squad detectives.
The five employees in the branch at the time of the incident were unharmed.
The subject is described as a white male between the ages of 25 and 30. He is believed to be between 5-feet-6-inches and 5-feet-7-inches and was seen wearing a light-colored shirt and camouflage baseball hat.
