In June of this year (2010) I had the privilege to sail on the Priscilla with a good friend, Tony D’Eloia. Tony is a member of the crew on this ship. It was an experience of a lifetime. I tell all my friends about it. Reading this article brought back those wonderful memories. I was able to sit at the helm, which I may never do again in my lifetime. If I ever visit Long Island again, I hope I can once again sail on the beautiful Priscilla. I would also love to spend more time investigation the museum. Thank you, Tony.

Matthew Manguso’s article about the LI Maritime Museum was not only enjoyable reading but very educational. It’s always intriguing to learn about the history of our residence.
Matthew’s description of the ship,”Priscilla” has drawn my curiosity to go step on board.

I thoroughly enjoyed this article about the Maritime Museum. I have lived on Long Island for most of my life and was not aware that the museum existed. Mr. Manguso gives a wonderful insight into the museum’s history. I’ll be sure to visit it. Always enjoy reading the LI Press; your articles are always intersting and informative.
