Barclays Golf Tournament: Pictures From Day 1 Of Barclays Golf Tournament

by Pilot Brown on August 26, 2010

Odds are you weren’t at day 1 of the Barclays Pro-Am Golf Tournament at Ridgewood Country Club in Paramus, NJ (unless you are absolutely loaded, in which case, need a caddy for the rest of the tournament?). But here’s the next best thing: pictures from the Barclays Golf Tournament.

Tiger Woods smiles as he listens to a question during a news conference after the first round of The Barclays golf tournament Thursday, Aug. 26, 2010, in Paramus, N.J. Woods finished at 6-under par 65 for the day. (AP Photo/Mel Evans)

That picture to the left of Tiger Woods grinning from ear-to-ear could mean a few things: His divorce was finalized (it was), now ex-wife Elin Nordegren didn’t get much money from the divorce (she did—estimates peg that somewhere between $100 million and $750 million) or El Tigre shot a great round of golf. And he did in fact play well, shooting his best game of golf this year. Woods’ six-under par 65 has him in a tie for first place with Vaughn Taylor.

You won’t see any pictures of Jim Furyk in this gallery. Furyk’s cell phone died overnight, causing him to miss his alarm and the 7:30 a.m. deadline for golfers to report to the Pro-Am. He was disqualified as a result.
