We don’t know much about Michaele Salahi (yet), but one thing we do know: she’s good at getting her name in the media.
Since Mrs. Salahi is about to trade in her “White House Crasher” title for that of a “Real Housewife,” she needed to find a new way to cause trouble and attempt to stay relevant.
Enter: The View.
While promoting The Real Housewives of D.C. on The View Wednesday, Salahi and her costars got into a bit of a bitchfest (surprise!). Co-host Whoopi Goldberg came out from backstage and placed her hand on Salahi’s shoulders, saying “Can we get back to the White House please?” referencing the original talking point of the conversation.
That’s where things went from annoying to ridiculous.
After the segment, Salahi told the producers that Goldberg hit her. Whoopi Goldberg was having none of this and promptly visited Mrs. Salahi and her husband backstage to give her a piece of mind.
Goldberg confirmed Thursday on The View that she called out Salahi backstage for claiming she had hit her. She also replayed footage of the so-called “abuse”.
Check it out for yourself:
Salahi fired back on Thursday via a statement issued by her lawyer Lisa Bloom, who told The Daily Beast she thought the women of The View owed Salahi and her husband an apology for accusing them of crashing the White House and saying they should be in jail.
“I think they treated her horribly. I think they defamed her. I was really shocked by the way she was treated. It’s one thing to ask tough questions, it’s another to use defamatory language when you’ve been warned not to,” said Bloom.
The Real Housewives of D.C. hasn’t even aired yet, and we’re already sick of her pseudo-drama.
