Dee Snider is keeping it on Long Island. The veteran rocker, family man and life-long Islander is starring in a new reality show, “Growing Up Twisted,” which premieres Tuesday night at 10 p.m. on A&E.
The show focuses on Snider’s family, which includes wife of 28 years Suzette, sons Jesse, 27, Shane, 22, Cody, 20, and daughter Cheyenne, 13, and their slightly-bizarro suburban existence in East Setauket. Snider, whose band Twisted Sister reached icon status with their awesomely ’80s power anthem “We’re Not Gonna Take It” in 1984, says he hopes the show will give his kids a push in their careers.
The Sniders are no stranger to the spotlight—or reality shows, for that matter. Dee starred as a contestant on CMT’s “Gone Country” in 2008, and eldest son Jesse was a finalist on MTV’s “Rock The Cradle” that same year. Their Long Island home was also featured in a 2005 episode of MTV “Cribs.”
This time around though, things are a bit different for the family. First of all, they’re not competing–they’re just living their daily lives. Dee and Suzette are also grandparents to 1-year-old Logan, Jesse’s daughter.
