Re: the Cablevision e-mail problems - My advice: switch to Verizon Fios! My husband and I switched because of endless internet and phone interruptions with no solution. Every night I would arrive home after a long day of work to see Moe, Larry and Curley up on the pole, at which point I would ask my husband: "how much do you want to bet we have no Internet or Phone service?" Sure enough I was right! After 20+ outages from the end of December thru early February, and after my husband lost business documents he was in the middle of preparing, we made the switch. The Fios Internet speed is incredible, the service is courteous, TV reception is great, and they CARE about their customers. Unlike Cablevision who did nothing but give excuses and offer $13.00 off our bill (what an insult!). It was bye bye Cable and Helloooooo Fios! And as far as Newsday goes? Its news is biased and "leaning left" - so they also lost me as a subscriber. Way to go, Dolans! I would GLADLY PAY to receive the Long Island Press on my doorstep, which is a QUALITY newspaper. Newsday can keep their paper and the few subscribers who get the paper just to read the obituaries (and I know quite who do!) because their 'news' reporting leaves much to be desired. Keep up the GREAT work, Long Island Press! :-)
