For all the foodies of the tri-state area, the best part of summer has finally arrived. New York City is hosting NYC Restaurant Week from July 12 to July 25 (clearly more than a week but we’re not complaining).
During this time period, New Yorkers can enjoy three course meals at participating restaurants for only $24.07 at lunchtime and $35 at dinner. This summer there are more than 275 participating restaurants, an all-time high, and they include some of the finest restaurants in the city, where getting a three course dinner for $35 is certainly not a usual occurrence.

Also returning is the NYC Restaurant Week Truck, which rides around the city at lunchtime, giving people the opportunity to enjoy the soups of restaurants right outside their office buildings. The truck debuted during last winter’s restaurant week.
NYC Restaurant Week started in 1992, and was supposed to be a one-time event to welcome the Democratic National Convention into the city. After gaining a huge fan following from local residents, the week became a recurring event, and now runs in both the summer and winter.
