		<description><![CDATA[It would be a good idea to also have some flyers with preparation tips and recipes available.  Since they cut back on home ec in the schools, I&#039;ll bet a lot of people don&#039;t know how to prepare basic things (and not everyone has access to the internet at home).

Or have live demonstrations/tastings -- that could actually be fun!]]></description>

While I applaud the move and I wish them success, I am doubtful that the farmers markets will make much of an affect on the lifestyles of those that are being attempted to be reached. They will still come back from the stores with the fattening foods they always bought even if they do buy the fresh fruits and vegetables. I also question the logic that &quot;they&quot; are more targeted on the topic than the rest of the population! The problem is across all ethnic and socio-economic groups, the rich white ones and the poor black ones and every one in between. And NO I&#039;m not inferring that all poor are black nor that all blacks are poor. I&#039;m trying to bring up the fact that obesity is totally non-discriminatory]]></description>
