A man was shot outside a bar in Hempstead early Saturday morning and police are seeking the public’s help in tracking down the shooter.
Nassau County police said a 36-year-old man was waiting for a cab outside Two Brothers Sports Baron Fulton Avenue when a man approached him, removed a handgun from underneath his shirt and shot the man in the right shoulder at 4:05 a.m. The shooter then fled the scene on foot.
The victim was taken to a local hospital and is being treated for what is considered to be a non-life-threatening injury.
The shooter is described as a Hispanic man, 5-feet-6-inches tall with a heavy build. He was wearing red and black sneakers, black shorts and a red shirt. The weapon he used is a semi-automatic handgun.
