I really hope you’re wrong though. Whether the political will is there or not, the cat’s out of the bag. The public is now aware that EVs exist, which is really what Tesla did, create an awareness. That can’t be taken back. Beyond branding, the road is now paved for any number of entrepreneurs to bring better car technology to the populace. Project ReinCARnate may even help a little, who knows…

We really do need to switch to electric drive. Even better, we need to convert gas cars to electric drive. But I’m assuming you already know the argument.
