Franklin Hospital Medical Center – Located in Valley Stream, the community hospital has 305 beds and services patients from Nassau and Southeastern Queens. It boasts one of the most advanced Emergency Departments in the region. Long Island Jewish Medical Center – Located in New Hyde Park, the voluntary non-profit tertiary care teaching hospital houses 827 beds. The hospital is made up of three main components: Steven and Alexandra Cohen Children’s Medical Center of New York, Long Island Jewish and The Zucker Hillside Hospital. LIJ features a 452-bed tertiary adult care hospital with advanced diagnostic and treatment technology, as well as modern facilities for medical, surgical, dental and obstetrical care. Mercy Medical Center – Located in Rockville Centre, the not-for-profit hospital serves the health care needs of Nassau County and its surrounding area. It specializes in maternal health, oncology, physical medicine, cardiology, rehabilitation, orthopedics, weight-loss surgery and behavioral health. The Medical Center is home to the only Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit on the southern half of LI. St. Joseph Hospital – Located in Bethpage, St. Joseph’s was formerly New Island Hospital. The 203-bed community hospital provides comprehensive inpatient and outpatient medical care.
