A Merrick man who does not have his medication and is prone to violent outbursts is missing, according to a report from the Silver Alert Program.
James Krugaluk, 39, of North Merrick, has been missing since 3:30 p.m. yesterday. It is unknown what type of vehicle he is using or which direction he was last seen going.
He is described as a white male, measuring 5-feet-6-inches tall and weighing 170 lbs. He is blind in his left eye. He was last seen wearing jeans and a dark, long-sleeved T-shirt, carrying three duffle bags.
Krugaluk is prescribed medication for a psychiatric condition and is without this medicine. In the past, he had been known to have violent outbursts when not under the medication’s influence.
The Silver Alert Program has been established in order to disseminate immediate information to local media, hospitals and other organizations when a senior citizen or other individuals suffering from Alzheimer’s disease, dementia or other cognitive disorders goes missing.
