“trying very hard and working 24/7″ does not give a business the go ahead to break the law. Also sounds like they had some code violations. If you cannot run the business on the up and up, get help or go home.

also, needless arrests? there were several complaints, people were found breaking the law. What’s the problem here?

I know for a fact that the two they mentioned (employees) run around like chickens with no heads trying to keep that business afloat. I’ve personally seen Amar remove people from the lounge that were drinking inside. What you’re reading in this article makes these guys sound like criminals, when all they are trying to do is make a fun environment for the customers. These guys literally work 24/7 at this lounge. As far as the drinking, I know from a source that was there that night, that the drinking was not inside the building, it was in the parking lot. Granted, the parking lot is for his business, theres no way to know whats going on in the parking lot in/behind peoples personal cars. The underage smoking inside, well, every time i was there, which is a lot, i’ve seen both of these guys ID everyone that walks in. I’ve also seen countless people squeeze in around them without having their ID checked, as well as countless people sneaking out of the building without paying. People need to stop being so quick to judge (not directed towards anybody specific), and start thinking about how the press re-words things to get better ratings. Until we are in their shoes and trying to run a business where countless people take advantage of you, we have no right to judge how they manage. (as long as things stay legal, and I know Amar personally to know that he is very strict, yet people continuously take advantage of him)

If you break the law you must expect to pay the price. It’s ridiculous that the employees would be that idiotic. Anyone under 21 should not be drinking and anyone under 18 should not have been allowed in the bar in the first place. It’s simple to check ID. All bars that serve alcohol do it without a problem.

I am a long time hookah smoker and a blogger on the subject over at http://www.buyhookah.com and it bothers me that this will just be one more case where the mistakes of the few reflect poorly on those of us that are responsible hookah smokers and are not breaking the law in any way.

Now a days, who knows what a minor is, and when does someone become a adult? Under the new Obama health care plan, a “26 year old” can stay under their parents health plan. .

I agree that none of the individuals that were arrested are minors. The minors I referred to in the story are the ones that police discovered drinking inside the lounge. They were not placed under arrest. Perhaps I was not clear enough with my explanation of the situation, sorry for any confusion.

The question that is really bugging me right now is “who was the victim”? Sounds like the police making those needless arrests to drive up costs so they can justify their bloated budgets.
