Elmont Gunman Sought

by Patrick Kelton on May 6, 2010

Nassau County police are looking for the gunman who fired a gun at a group of men in Elmont on Tuesday evening.

The group of men were fighting near the corner of Elmont Road and Freeman Avenue when one of the men pulled out a shotgun and fired it once at 6:35 p.m., police said.

A witness told police that he heard the gunshot and saw one man say to another man, “You pull a shotgun on me? You do me like that? I’ll be back. You’re a dead mother f******” before both suspects parted ways.

The first suspect was described as a black man in his early 20s, approximately 5’8” tall, wearing a dark blue Yankee hat and blue denim shorts. The second suspect was described as a black man in his late teens, approximately 6’ tall with a thin build, short black cornrows, wearing a beige tee shirt and dark blue jeans.

All of the suspects involved had fled the scene prior to the police arriving.

Fifth Squad detectives request anyone with information regarding this crime to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS. All callers will remain anonymous.

Wedding & Event FAQ
Q- Does the flower girl have to wear white or ivory to match the bride?

A-Your flower girl can wear any colored dress, which of course coordinates with the rest of your wedding party. If you choose for her to wear white or ivory, you can accent the dress with the bridal party color sash or appliqué. She can also wear the color of the bridal party and to differentiate her, you can add a white or ivory sash. Choose something that you feel will coordinate best with the rest of your bridal party.
