A Hempstead man who allegedly robbed and attacked two teenagers with a BB gun in his hometown on Friday has been apprehended.
Nassau County police said a 16-year-old girl and her 12-year-old brother were approached by Markus McIntyre, who was carrying a BB gun as he demanded money and the girl’s iPod at 6:30 p.m. When the girl refused to give him the iPod, McIntyre assaulted both her and her brother with the gun, took money and fled the scene, police said.
McIntyre was arrested early Sunday and was charged with five counts of robbery, two counts of assault and one count of possession of a dangerous weapon.
Both the girl and her younger brother were taken to a local hospital and treated for their injuries.
