Cops: Levittown Man Had Guns, Drugs, Knives

A Levittown man was arrested Friday after guns, illegal prescription drugs, knives and more were found in his house, Nassau County Eighth police said.

Police were tipped by a family member that 32-year-old Michael S. Lyon allegedly had illegal guns and drugs at his Levittown home. Two officers arrived at Lyon’s residence and discovered illegal knives, two bulletproof vests, vials believed to contain steroids and several assault rifles, one of which was stolen, police said.

Lyon was later found with his Audi at the Best Western Inn on Jericho Turnpike in Woodbury. Lyon ran, but after a short foot pursuit he was caught and found in possession of a gravity knife, police said.


He was charged with three counts of criminal possession of a weapon, addition criminal possession of a weapon charges, criminal possession of stolen property, seven counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance, possession of a weapon and criminal trespass.
