The front door of a Oceanside business was smashed during a burglary on Friday, Nassau County police said.

Officers notified the owner of the Biggest Banana on Long Beach Road that the glass front door of the store had been destroyed shotrly before 9 a.m. In addition, a metal box containing an unknown amount of money was stolen.

The investigation is ongoing and detectives ask anyone with information to notify Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS. All calls remain anonymous.
