A Long Island man died after a snowmobile crash early Sunday morning in upstate New York.
New York State police say the collision happened at about 1 a.m. on Partridgeville Road in the Town of Greig.
Police say 59-year-old Frank Orobello of Ronkonokoma and 22-year-old Anthony Gallace of East Meadow both lost control of their Arctic Cat snowmobiles on a curve.
Orobello crashed into a tree and was killed instantly. Gallace was taken to St. Elizabeth’s Hospital in Utica with serious head injuries.
The investigation is continuing.
