It doesn’t happen in New York all that often, at least not to this degree, but when it snows hard on Long Island, it really snows hard.
And what is the best follow up to a snowstorm? A sunny day, where the roads are still bad enough to get a day off from school or stay home from work, but still clear enough not to die if you have no choice.
And what is the best thing about this particular snow storm? It gave us massive amounts of the good kind of snow–igloo building snow, snowman rolling snow, angel making snow–packing snow.

So, to those lucky enough to have one, happy snow day. Enjoy it, and throw a snowball for us, will ya?
And if you’re out there getting creative, or just having a good time, or if you just like taking pictures and want to show off your skills, send them over to [email protected] along with your name and your town and we’ll post them.
And last, but not least, if you are the jackass driving in the picture above, please clean your car. Thanks.
