Teenager Arrested for Huntington Station Murder

Suffolk County Police have arrested 18-year-old Gni Brown for the murder of Geremias Caceres, who was shot to death Sunday in Huntington Station.

Second Precinct police officers had been investigating Caceres’ slaying after responding to a call of a man shot near his home on 10th Avenue in Huntington Station Jan. 24 at 9:53 p.m.  Caceres, 38, of 81 10th Ave., was walking home with another man when he was approached by three men and shot during an attempted robbery, said police. He was transported to Huntington Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Brown, of 47A 9th Ave., Huntington Station, was one of those who attempted to rob Caceres, said police. Homicide detectives have charged Brown with 2nd Degree Murder.


Brown will be arraigned today at First District Court in Central Islip.
