A store in Freeport was robbed at gunpoint early Sunday morning, Nassau police said.
Two masked men armed with handguns and dressed in all black entered Super Joe’s Discount Store on North Main Street, forced two male clerks, ages 49 and 22, to open the registers and remove an undisclosed amount of cash at 12:20 a.m., police said. The suspects then fled out the front door.
Five employees and no customers were in the store at the time but no injuries were reported.
Detectives are requesting any members of the public who have information about the robbery to call Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS. All calls will remain anonymous.
