by Long Island Press on December 27, 2009

A bank  was robbed in Plainview on Sunday morning, Nassau police said.

A man entered the TD Bank on Old Country Road and gave a note demanding money to a teller at 11:50 a.m. The  teller complied and the robber then fled on foot. He was last seen walking north on South Oyster Bay Road.

Robbery Squad detectives described the suspect as a white man between 30 and 40 years old, between 5’8″ and 5′ 10″ tall, with a thin build. He was wearing a tan hooded sweatshirt.

Five employees and nine customers were inside the bank at the time of the robbery but no injuries were reported.

Detectives are asking anyone with information regarding the crime to call Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS.  All calls will remain anonymous.
