The man and woman who were arrested for allegedly robbing two Suffolk banks to pay for heroin in July have been charged recently with robbing three Nassau businesses during the same time period, Nassau police said.
Ryan Fabian, 27, of Huntington Station, robbed at gunpoint the Subway in Levittown on July 11 and 25-year-old Nicole Feist of Levittown drove the getaway car, police said. The pair similarly robbed the Subway in Levittown and the Lifestyle Sports in Wantagh on July 13, police said.
They each pleaded not guilty to four counts of robbery (in one of the three alleged robberies there were two victims). Feist’s charges were added on Dec. 4 while Fabian’s were added on Dec. 14. Additional arrests are pending, according to Robbery Squad detectives.
Suffolk police originally arrested the pair on July 14 shortly after the suspects allegedly robbed a Ronkonkoma bank at gunpoint. Investigators said at the time that the duo had robbed a Melville bank 11 days prior and that they were committing the crimes to pay for their heroin habit.
The two had met in detox while seeking treatment for heroin addiction at Nassau University Medical Center, police have said.
Feist and Fabian each had pleaded not guilty to robbery and conspiracy charges in Suffolk. Feist was already facing drug charges in Nassau at the time of her July arrest.
Feist is being held at Nassau County jail and Fabian is being held at Suffolk County jail. Both were denied bail.
Fabian is due back at Suffolk County court on Dec. 17 and Feist is due back at Dec. 22. Both are due back at Nassau County court on Dec. 21.
