Suffolk police arrested a man after he allegedly shot a teenager during an argument in Port Jefferson Station on Friday afternoon.
Michael Perkowski, 21, was involved in a confrontation with a group of men in the street outside of his Grand Avenue home when he fired a shotgun that struck 19-year-old Raymond Kaine of Port Jefferson Station in the face shortly after 2 p.m., police said.
Kaine was taken to Stony Brook University Medical Center where he is listed in serious condition.
Perkowski was charged with assault. He will be arraigned at First District Court in Central Islip on Saturday.
