As a HATER of reality shows, I have to say that these people ring true, being a New Yorker myself. No one has more contempt for the club kid lifestyle, but after avoiding these shows forever and seeing the Jersey Shore online over a weekend, I actually believe this is the most “real” reality show I’ve ever seen. And aside from the fighting, drunkenness and sluttiness, J-Woww sounds very intelligent and reasonable. She seems to come from a rough background and worked hard and went t oschool to make something of herself. And guess what? I’m realizing that some people need to express themselves with tanner, fake boobs and slinky clothing. It’s not for all of us, but a a former jealous bitch hater, I have to say Bravo to being yourself, you know? If these people have the discipline to work out, take care of thier grooming and make money on thier own then kudos to them. Honestly, when the MTV Real World (puke) came out, most of those people were so phony and acting up for the cameral. I think these Jersey Shore-ites are the real thing. By the way, guido is not necessarily italian; The name “Guido” may be, but guido is a fashion statement, a satirical stereotype if you will.

These people are so sad and pathetic. The sad thing is that this is the high point of their life. The 15 minutes they get on this show just for 20 years in rehab and chemo treatment. I hope younger kids know that there people are just pathetic publicity hounds.

Some of you are in complete denial. Like it or not there are MANY people that walk around and are proud of this image. This is the world we live in – it is not a gray world, but one full of color and that is what makes it great.

In the interest of fairness, during our interview, Ms. Farley never claimed to be Italian, or assumed ownership of *any* cultural identity (besides “headbanger”). I simply asked her how she felt about the usage of the word “guido” by her cast mates (all of whom *are* Italian American), and she gave the answer you see in this story.

jenn wow, more like jenn eww. she’d probably be pretty if she lost the fake black hair and melon boobs. and the horrific leather orange tan. it’s amazing what people will do for attention. any kind of attention. even the bad…or in this case, the embarrassing. all these people should be locked in the jersey shore and staten island to prevent the gene pool from spreading.
