I think Nassau County is in the best hands with Ed Mangano as our County Executive. What he accomplished in his Legislative District was straight from his heart, and I know he will carry that with him in upper office.
I also have to praise the Long Island Press for being so fair in this race, and seeing Ed for who is really is, and not shunning him like the rest of the media did. Great Job!! Your articles did not go un-noticed, and I definitely feel they helped Ed out tremendously. It’s nice to read a realistic and not one-sided paper…..and one that actually cares about the people of Long Island. Kudos to the Long Island Press!

In 2001, Tom Suozzi may have been the underdog in the Democratic Primary against Tom Di Napoli, but was expected to trounce GOP candidate Bruce Bent, who ran a silly campaign.

Tom Suozzi is delusional to the end. Enron had excellent credit ratings also. it will be interesting to see what Mr. Maragos, comptroller elect has to say about all of this.

Best of luck.. The thing I like about him is he seems to be “real” not a fake. best of luck to him & his team, I really like the idea of “local companies” getting the county contracts. That’s great for jobs for all people within the county. Also that’s a great for every Nassau tax payer. A real win win… ! Nassau really needed a change. His little $500K up against suozzi multi million dollar war chest wow, that’s say alot. Maybe Suozzi can apply for a job with I.C.E … anyone remember how he made freinds with them?

Agreed. It seems to spell out clearly the direction Ed has, his priorities, and how he plans to address the County’s financial situation and his feelings towards how government should be run
