4 Hurt, 1 Killed in Parkway Crash

A car crash claimed the life of a person on a parkway in Hauppauge on Wednesday morning. sirens19-300x300

The driver lost control of the Honda eastbound on the Northern State Parkway near Exit 46, veered onto the center median, struck a tree and came to a rest on the passenger side at 6:52 a.m., New York State police said.

Of the five passengers in the vehicle, three were ejected from the rear window, four were injured and the one was killed. Police did not release the victims’ names.

Eastbound traffic was closed for nearly three hours while investigators were on the scene.
