Nassau police arrested more than five dozen drivers who were alleged to be behind the wheel while under the influence over the Thanksgiving weekend.
The 75 arrests were the result of the Stop DWI Holiday Enforcement Initiative, which ran from 11 p.m. on Wednesday through 7 a.m. Monday. The charges included driving while ability impaired by alcohol or drugs.
Suffolk police did not release how many drunken driving arrests were made during the same time period.
