Nassau police arrested two teenagers for robbery in Elmont and are still investigating another robbery in the same town about three hours earlier on Tuesday night.
Andrew Hibbert, 18, of Elmont, and Damien Smith, 17, of Baldwin, approached a 19-year-old man, held a box cutter to his throat and demanded cash at 9:03 p.m., according to 5th Squad detectives.
The victim handed the suspects a MTA Metro-card and undisclosed amount of cash before they ran away. Police apprehended the duo a short time later.
Hibbert and Smith were charged with robbery and will be arraigned at First District Court in Hempstead on Wednesday.
In the second case, a pedestrian had just gotten off of the N1 bus on Village Avenue when 10 high-school aged boys robbed the victim of $300, a baseball cap, a house key and a fake diamond earring at 5:45 p.m.
