A Lynbrook smoke shop was robbed at gunpoint on Saturday afternoon, Nassau police said.
Two men entered Smoker’s Choice on Sunrise Highway when one pulled out a handgun and tied up an employee with plastic ties at 3:55 p.m., according to 5th Squad detectives.
The robbers stole $1,000 cash from the register and five cartons of cigarettes before fleeing on foot. The victim freed himself and was not injured.
The first suspect is described as a black man approximately 40 years old, 6’ tall, 240 lbs. with a large build and a dark complexion who was wearing dark sunglasses, jeans, blue and silver jacket and a dark knit cap.
The second suspect is described as a black man approximately 40 years old, 5’10” tall, 155 lbs. with a medium build and a dark complexion who was wearing dark sunglasses, a dark blue sweatshirt, blue jeans, blue knit cap and was armed with a small dark revolver.
