Nassau health officials partnered with the North Shore-LIJ Health System and Nassau University Medical Center to offer free swine flu shots to those who are vulnerable to the virus through the second week in March.
The Nassau County Department of Health and the partners created the H1N1 Vaccination Point of Dispensing Clinics (POD) to create consistent vaccination sites over a 16-week period and begin vaccinating residents in the priority groups recommended by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
The next scheduled clinics include:
Tuesday, Nov. 17 – Nassau University Medical Center’s Auditorium, 2201 Hempstead Tpke., East Meadow, 6 to 10 p.m.
Wednesday, Nov. 18 – Nassau University Medical Center’s A. Holly Patterson Extended Care Facility’s Auditorium, 875 Jerusalem Ave., Uniondale, 6 to 10 p.m.
Sunday, November 22 – North Shore-LIJ at Clinton Martin Park, 1650 Marcus Ave., New Hyde Park, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
No appointment is needed.
