Nassau police arrested on Thursday the last of three suspects who are accused of assaulting two brothers in a Hempstead park last month.
Lawrence Sutton, 20, was charged with two counts of assault for allegedly attacking the victims along with two others after an argument on Oct. 25.
Sutton was with Yanes Franklin, 18, and Jose Doreno-Martinez, when they got into a fight with two men who were with a 6-year-old girl as the victims were leaving Bradley Park, according to Special Investigation Squad detectives.
One victim was struck in the head with a brick and required 5 stitches. As the victim’s brother attempted to stop the attack, he was assaulted and suffered a fractured orbital, police said.
Franklin and Doreno-Martinez were apprehended shortly after officers arrived on the scene.
Franklin had been charged with possession of a dangerous weapon and two counts of assault. Doreno-Martinez had been charged with assault.
