A Queens man was arrested for drunken driving after almost causing a car crash on Sunday night, New York State police said.
Piotr Kilinkiewicz, 44, of Ridgewood, was speeding in a Ford minivan northbound on Meadowbrook State Parkway near Hempstead Turnpike when he changed lanes without signaling and almost struck another vehicle at 10:24 p.m., police said.
A trooper pulled Kilinkiewicz over, noticed he smelled of alcohol and charged him with driving while intoxicated and several traffic violations after he was found to have a blood alcohol content of .14 percent, police said.
He will be arraigned at First District Court in Hempstead on Dec. 14.
