Suffolk police are asking for the public’s help in finding a rapist who attacked a woman in Holtsville last week.
The victim was leaving for work when she was attacked and sexually assaulted in the garage at her home in the vicinity of Waverly Avenue and Union Avenue on Monday, Oct. 26 at approximately 6:30 a.m., according to 6th Squad detectives.
The rapist is described as a white man 18-20 years old with a stocky build wearing a black baseball cap, black hooded sweatshirt, and black pants. According to the victim, the suspect smelled strongly of cigarette smoke. He may have scratches or redness on his face on his right cheek and eye area.
