A cashier at a Bellmore gas station refused to unlock the door for an armed man demanding cash on Tuesday night, Nassau police said.
Police say a 53-year-old man working as a cashier at the Shamrock Gas Station on Merrick Road saw a man armed with a black rifle banging on the front door, then pointed the rifle at him, demanding he unlock the door and hand over the cash. The employee refused and the armed man fled north on Argyle Place.
The robber is described as 6’4” tall with a thin build, wearing a red long sleeve tee shirt, blue jeans, and a red ski mask.
