On September 16th from 4-8 p.m., all Wendy’s locations on Long Island will donate 10% of their sales to Long Island Cares, The Harry Chapin Food Bank. This is Wendy’s first Action For Hunger campaign being held in support of national Hunger Action Month.
In Nassau and Suffolk counties there are approximately 40 Wendy’s restaurants that will participate in this amazing community effort.
“Wendy’s founder Dave Thomas was a staunch believer in giving back to your community,” says Long Island Cares Executive Director Paule Pachter. “I’m sure he would certainly be pleased with Wendy’s efforts to join with us in the fight against hunger in our local community.”
Hunger Action Month is a nationwide call-to-action, an effort to mobilize people everywhere to get involved with ending hunger in America. Long Island Cares in conjunction with Feeding America, is asking everyone to help feed the hungry in their communities.
